In a world built on titles, Scott Hansen can be labeled as both a Musician and Designer. But titles are limiting. With Scott, there are no boundaries. His musical project Tycho blends sonic substance with stimulating visuals to create one immersive experience.

Alongside Zac Brown, Rory O‘ Conner and Joe Davancens, the collective brought ‘Awake’ to life at Webster Hall in New York City.

To sum up the Tycho effect - you start listening and think you‘re absorbing the music. But by the end you realize it‘s absorbing you, soaking up all the junk and congestion our thoughts can turn into. You‘re left with a fresh, clean canvas of inspiration!

With a heavier focus on instrumentation, ‘Awake’ is a natural progression from ‘Dive’. That progression has also carried over to their live set with the four piece giving songs off of ‘Past is Prologue’ and ‘Dive’ a re-imagined persona.

Drummer Nitemoves (Rory O‘ Conner) - a star behind the kit - added a physical and jarring presence that was the perfect contrast to Scott Hansen’s rhythmic meditative state.

With Tycho, the music is naturally illustrative - it has the ability to evoke visuals, even when your eyes are closed.
